I can search for daylilies with a “Plant Habit” of “Tree”, or a “Fruiting Time” of “Year Round” Hilarious! . My favorite is “Miscellaneous” where I can select to search for daylilies that are “Carnivorous”!

Hahahahaha! Carniverous.... Rolling on the floor laughing Maybe that's why they call it ENTRAPMENT! Rolling on the floor laughing Better be careful, your daylily might EAT you! Rolling on the floor laughing

Even using the relevant fields, trying to identify one specific daylily is almost impossible. The “Flower Color” field (you checkmark the color you want to search for) is useless. For example, I did a search of “Foliage type: Dormant, Bloom Form: Single Flower, Color: Red” and got only 1 match! Hilarious!

Of course I can’t know for sure what words are in the database for the color description field so I may not get some red flowers matched if they are described as “crimson”, for example.

You've discovered what I've had difficulties with, too. I don't think most people realize that there are two different fields in the database relating to flower color. One is simply a description, the other is used to establish color for use in search results. Most daylilies in the database don't appear to have the second (searchable) color field filled out. This was something I have addressed in other threads and wanted to work on. So far, I've only updated this for one cultivar ("So Many Stars"), but I hope to update many more in the future to help people who are doing searches.

Anyway, I'm glad your question seems to have been answered and your little NOID appears to have an identification now. Hurray!
