gargoyl52 - I use different fertilizers at different times ... liquid fertilizer like MiracleGro (not the bloom booster fertilizer), milorganite, alfalfa pellets mixed into the dirt around my daylilies, and worm compost (I have an active worm bin). Early spring and early fall are when I do my fertilizing. But I do tend to lightly sprinkle milorganite around my plants all summer off and on to keep the rodents and other critters out of my raised daylily beds. (They don't like the smell.)
What lies behind us and what lies before us are tiny matters, compared to what lies within us.
