Carolina Gold

I am liking these. First fruit I picked I was not impressed but now they are quite tasty.

I am generally very pleased with the yellow tomatoes I am growing this year.

Oh Oh. I just looked up these Carolina Gold tomatoes on the internet and found out it is a hybrid. And here I have been posting it on the heirlooms thread because I thought it was an heirloom. I was happy to find what I thought was an heirloom with great production that I could bring back year after year in my garden. Well I will still bring it back but not an heirloom!

So far as far as I can figure out the only heirloom to make it into my must plan every year list are those Jaunne Flamme tomatoes.

I bring back Black Cherry each year but I don't think those are heirlooms. Though they do have that rich black tomato flavor.

Next year I want to try Riesentraube also.
