Indeed we did bring the memories across the years! There are so many thoughts of childhood that still linger whenever I'm alone or busy in the yard and gardens. I have a lot of 'memory' time when I mow because it is so monotonous! I am glad to know someone else can remember a "jar fly": That's what "Daddy" (still daddy after all these years!) called them, and I suspect it was because children would catch them and put them into canning jars as a form of entertainment. (?) That's only a thought of course. And the fireflies were and still are magical!

Oh childhood and youth; where did they go? At least we can keep our memories, and fools like me can still write about them. Smiling
