Thank you so much for the confirmation. I was just going to do it for exactly the same reason ... spring is too busy. I do wish I had some back up plants, so if my plants make it through the winter I may try to propagate a few.
My first frost date is also late October to early November.
I think I will see if I can take advantage of some of the sales. During the regular season, the plants are just too expensive because I am not certain they will do well up here.
I wanted to plant some up on my slope, too, but I am still working on the house pad level. My slope does have good drainage, but the area where I'd like to plant them always gets covered in a lot pine needles and I don't get up there soon enough in spring to clear the area. I have lousy rocky soil up there that drains quite well. ...
