I had thought rot was something I'd never dealt with till this year with some new ones, but now I'm wondering if its something that has been happening all along with established clumps and I just hadn't noticed. Some that had rot issues this year have increases that are doing fine. I just left them alone, didn't try to doctor them in any way and simply observed. Only a couple died completely, the other few effected seem to be rebounding just fine.
