I actually found the plant infor card that came with the Elephant Ears when I was adding more plants to my list. It. simply says Elephant Ears - Alocasia. If there are any changes to the growth on my leaf, I will photograph it and post. Thanks so much for so many responses and interest in this. It is indeed strange.
