I know bud count matters to me but also how strong are the scapes. Fooled me is very common one over here in our zone and while attractive the scapes are on the spindly side. But if your garden is well sheltered it would not matter that much but might for me be a deal breaker if i had to really narrow my selections.
Also how well do the blooms hold up under the heat of the day? I personally would take that into account as well.
