I've used Milorganite, but am now have been avoiding it due to heavy metals it contains.
Also wondering about the amount of prescription drug residue it might have.
And that stuff could stay in the soil for a long time.

There used to be a line of Milorganite that had the big red tomato on the bag that had metals removed,
but I've not seen that one for years.

I'm using Fertrell organic modestly. While it is expensive, it lasts a year.
Also use alfalfa pellets and add organic trace mineral soil additives like azomite or other rock dusts and seaweed.

Although in Florida, I'm lucky to have good soil initially,
plus have gotten truck loads of tree trimmings from the local tree crews,
bagged leaves and have grown various cover crops.

Blood meal to deters critters (takes a couple of weeks but works for quite awhile)
