Daylilies...Diseases? Hello all! Sorry if this is not in the right spot...let me know and I will change it.
I took some pics to see if this is plant rust....what do you think? I do not see any creepy crawlers around my plants. My plants all started out very well this year and they were nice and full. The blooms was fantastic! The scrapes looked full. But now I find myself cleaning out lots of scrapes and at the base I see this. It makes the scrapes pull out easy...soft at the base too. Blooming is just about done only a couple are still at it. The plants are looking pretty thin now. 
If this is rust do I need to cut it all out and spray with detergent? There will not be much plant left! Any ideas on what I need to do? Thanks for your help!
