Since that's all I've seen (well, I probably wouldn't have recognized one that had just been "properly pruned"), I thought that was the "normal" thing to do!! Must have a talk with my BIL and his wife...

Rob, loved the video -- a little corny, but the pruned tree certainly looks much happier than the (murdered) ones that I've seen.

What happens if you just let them "go" ?? Looks like they have a lot of suckers coming up? So you would end up with some kind of thicket? Reminds me of the way lilacs grow up here Smiling

And, I am NOT going to Florida in the summer just to see them bloom -- not when I can see the photos that all of you post! Big Grin
