I was one of the first 300 contributors to the plant database! Plant Identifier
I cut the foliage back on mine even I am going to replant them right then. The purpose of that for me is too allow the plant to develop a root system to hold itself up. If I leave the foliage it is usually top heavy, falls over, gets blown over and then I have to keep replanting the silly thing and it lays there and dries up!
