I think she meant pouring the hot water into the ant hole. Each time I moved the pot, I could see a hole that they hurriedly moved their eggs into. The other type of ants I was referring to are thatching ants. I've only seen them in the southern Puget Sound area: http://activerain.com/blogsvie...
