Hi everyone! My name is Chris (yes, I'm a Christine too!) and I met alot of TERRIFIC gardeners at the last G.I.G. this past summer when Arlene and her sweetie hubby had it at their place. I was a newbie and have never felt so welcomed as they (and everyone else!) made me feel. The Kaleidoscope Factory was amazing and I fell in love with Leonard, the owner who is a double for Santa! I'm really excited about the next gathering being in Boone for a couple of reasons..one, the train
and the other is cause I'm so close now!
Anyway, I moved back here to Iowa a year ago after my husband passed away (April 09) to be near my kids and grandkids..I was living in Burlington in the SE corner, but I have now taken a new job and live in Des Moines..I love it here in the city, but sure miss being able to garden :(
I live in an upstairs apartment, so I'm restricted to indoor plants..but at least now I have a 9 ft balcony and may try some container gardening this coming spring. I have a terrific view to make up for living in an apartment though.. check it out!
