Another delicate vine you could try is Maurandya scandens (twining snapdragon). I had one in a one-gallon pot for about 3 years and it stayed fairly small and has small leaves. Out in the garden it gets fairly large, but in a pot, it's pretty well mannered. Probably have to start one from seed, tho.
