It's been 2 seasons since I last imported from Tempo 2 in Australia. At that time, the money exchange was favorable and the cost for shipping wasn't as high as you mentioned. There is cost involved as the plants need to be phytosanitized and that costs a bit. You also need to get a permit to import plants from the US Dept. of Ag. which is free. As Lucy mentioned, Keith Keppel has many of his introductions in his catalog. His last shipments at that time to the Northern Hemisphere was in April. I had thought I might import some more from him this spring, but then my dog had to go into the vet hospital and at a $1000/day, her four day stay ate up my budget for new irises this year. Sad I did manage to squeeze out enough for a couple orders of new ones though after I sold a horse. Smiling
