@Joy - Aw, I'm so sorry to hear that! I seem to have a thing for purple daylilies and I thought yours was so unique with the reverse bi-tone coloring and the edging on the sepals but not the petals...and is that a dark midrib? What a special daylily. I hope it pops up again for you soon, it has a lot of unique characteristics! As for the crepe myrtle, they really are beautiful, and I can definitely relate to what you're saying about dark-colored foliage on plants--I really like that too! I hope yours is beautiful for you!
@BookerC1 - Are your wiegelas just getting old, or do you think the weather is getting to them? (I'm in zone 5b-ish and our Wine and Rose Wiegelas are going bonanzas! I'm going to have to trim them really well next year to keep them from taking over our little courtyard area out front!) As for the crepe myrtles...maybe we need someone to hybridize a cold-hardy crepe myrtle for us northerners, eh?
(No, I'm not Canadian...but Michigan really isn't that far away, so I get to say "eh" occasionally!)
