I probably should have put this in the sticky thread but then not everyone would see it. I know some of you don't need this but I am thinking it could well help the majority. Here is a website that lists orchid genera in alphabetical order, gives the official abbreviation and the composition. By composition I mean it will tell you if that genus is a species or if it is composed of two or more other genera:
