I have a pod on Gram's Dream that cracked open enough to get a good look at large white seeds that were inside. It happened a day after we had a wonderful and very needed rain. I figured it popped open a bit because it finally got some badly needed moisture. I waited and watched as the seeds DID turn dark. I also have several others where the pods are dark (almost sunburned looking). Being my first year of seed collecting, that is what I chalked it up to???? I do have Royal Frosting, don't remember if I have a pod on it. I will check when I get back home...I've been house, dog, and cat sitting for my sister almost two weeks now. I can't wait to get home to my pods!!! And my dear hubby too
Bless his heart. I have him checking the pods while I'm gone. I'm so happy to see others pictures of the pods and seeds and hearing the experiences. It really helps us newbies.
