The ones from your CSA box are kind of small. Maybe instead of trying to peel them, try this...
wash then and scrub with a stiff brush. Coat with olive oil and some salt, roast in the oven. As soon as they are cool enough to handle, squeeze out the cooked flesh, discard the peel. You can eat the flesh like you would mashed potatoes or add it to a lovely homemade soup.
