Nice selection of groundcovers, Bonehead! I haven't had great luck with the creeping thyme either.
Rupturewort and goutweed are new to me!
Veronica 'georgia blue' has worked well for me as a ground cover--it's quite robust and competes well with the weeds and grasses.
