Hi Cindy! I was really hoping this would be C. erecta, which I would welcome, but then it bloomed... I don't think anybody not looking for the bloom of this plant would ever notice it.

If you look at the links Janet provided you can see wonderful pics of C. communis & erecta. There are some great pics of both in the DB here also. Both have significantly sized flowers, and are reportedly present in your state on USDA plants. If you can't decide, take some pics & start a discussion for it. Look for open blooms in the mornings.
