Okay, as promised, I took pictures and I'm going to post them. (Hopefully, I'll remember to take pictures next year when they bloom, too!)

I have to say, I was very impressed with the packaging. If you're looking to order daylilies online as a gift for someone else, this is a GREAT way to do it, it looks very professional and WOW were the roots CLEAN! Not that I mind a little dirt--I am a gardener after all!--but I definitely can appreciate a clean, bare-root plant. And the plants looked pretty green (only one wasn't green-green...but it still looks like it's going to do just fine and pep back up after a drink, so I'm not worried).

Again, if you're looking to give a daylily gift to send someone, Oakes Daylilies is a great option!

The plants themselves were a good size, too! I've been very spoiled this year and have been lucky enough to have almost everyone I order from throw in a few extra fans of what I ordered, so receiving clumps this size was awesome, but not completely unlike my orders from other places; but, yes, I would say there were, overall, a little more generous portions of daylilies from Oakes than other places I've ordered. Not including the little 'sprouts', I received 5 fans each of Golden Prize and Pocket Change, and 7 fans each of Asterisk, Ciao, and Nuit D'Amour. I'm really excited that they sent clumps so that it won't take as long to build up to beautiful, heavily blooming (I hope) plants!

(I have no idea why the pictures won't rotate properly...normally ATP auto-corrects for that, but even my computer is showing them right-side up, so I can't rotate and save them to fix it. Odd.)

One of the greatest things about the order was the tags! They are so professional and I love that all of the plant details are on them (this would have been SO helpful if it had been on my orders from other places). They also twist tie the tag around the plant so that it is *very* secure, which is particularly helpful when I'm carrying multiple clumps around the garden. (In another order I just received recently, the tags weren't secure and kept 'opening' or sliding off of the clumps.)

I'm happy with my order and look forward to seeing the blooms next season!

Thank you, Oakes!

[Edited to fix a couple of the pictures.]
