My addiction began back in 2003 and it was strange. I simply woke up one morning and decided I needed to add a few daylilies to my garden,
started looking at them on the computer and I was hooked!!! So many DLs, so little time. I frantically yanked the telephone directory out and
started looking up DL gardens and farms nearby, located one not far from me and drove there that very day. In fact, it was July 3. I was amazed
at the selection and display and drove home with about 10 or so, but with a list a mile long! Been collecting ever since.
A local DL club has a show/sale every June and I managed to add quite a few to my collection through them, around $2 a fan. What a deal!
Plus my own DL club also had exchanges and sales and that helped. I became quite proficient at spotting DL signs everywhere and even
drove down east to Marietta Gardens for their annual sale one year. Oh, my. What can I say? It grew from there and I never looked back.
