I didn't realize that I had a daylily collection until this year. Every year, I take pictures of all of my flowers in my garden. This year, I started an album on FB and suddenly it dawned on me...... I had quite a little collection of them....... 25ish varieties to be exact!

Then I started searching trying to find the names of my NOID daylilies....... that was my undoing!! I never knew that there were 79,000+++ varieties of them!!!! What????? Then I stumbled upon ATP! Then I stumbled upon Oakes....OMG! Then I found Homestead Farms...... and then came Maryott!!!!

I have a problem! Two orders from Oakes, two from Homestead, one large on from Maryott and a small one from Harmon Hill, plus a visit to all of the local nurseries in my area and I think that I have acquired about 60 new varieties of daylilies!!!! Crying Whistling

Before this summer, I had 3 large flower beds on our 2 acres of land. Two of them are sunny gardens and the third is a filtered/mostly shade garden. Now I have 4 gardens and could have many more!

I totally re-did my large stone garden out front. I have added many of my new daylilies but it will also continue to house all of my NOID and older daylilies. It is out along our road and all of my neighbors get to enjoy it a lot more than I do because of the big line of trees between the road and our house.

I just dug out a brand new daylily bed along the side of our house. It will be my themed garden with sections that have themes. Including my "All in the Family" selections.

My next plan is to redo the garden in my front yard...... it is going to be rid of the out of control black eyed susans and foxglove and my daylilies will be re-situated and better laid out. That garden is 12x16 feet..... I think.

So much to my dismay, I must admit that I have an addiction!!!! I am sure my grandmother up in heaven is in her glory and well when my dad comes out to visit later this month, he may realize that I have indeed inherited his love for plants too.... albeit daylilies and not tropical fruit trees and ginger plants!! Big Grin
