I just got back from a trip to Alaska and Vancouver. Talk about cool, moist conditions. Several of the gardens we went to had Fuchsia Standards and they were big 3 to4 ft tall with woody stems 2 inch or more thick. This isn't one of the best we saw as far as blooms but look at that trunk and branching.
