Just updating status of my Oncidiums that I moved to these coir containers in 2013. It took awhile to adjust, so far still alive Big Grin . We just have this horrible ongoing drought, hard to keep our humidity here. But I have learned to give them a good thorough shower at least once or twice a week and occasional spritzing.

Made me understand just how tough those roots will grow..it grew right throught the back of the container and is holding on:

I have this Maxillaria tenuifolia in one of the containers too. I have been remiss with this one, but it bloomed though a bit constricted in late Spring. I see slow new growth coming about, so I am reassured it is still coping. Just got to help all of the orchids get early morning spray or shower to endure our hot summer days.
