I love this plant. I received it in a trade last fall and so it bloomed this year for the first time and the throat is that green. If I remember correctly, it is registered as a green with a purple edge. I find it fascinating that the green has much thicker substance than the purple part of the petal. It is unusual and special. I also managed to pick up ROSE F. KENNEDY this year, so I can't wait to see it bloom.
