My homeland is the Philippines Big Grin Ah, so dry season in your area...Phils is rainy season right now, though it is not as intense like before, they do have the usual monsoon rains, but thankfully this year's stronger typhoons are veering away so far. Fingers crossed for them, the stronger typhoons shows up in Sept to Nov.

I only get my amaryllis blooms usually in mid Spring to early Summer, even that is hit and miss at times, after that just leaves. I find them quite thirsty here, simply because our humidity is extremely low.

I started planting amaryllis one christmas season, since I see a lot of the bulbs on sale in Nov. It was fun getting them to bloom but it is the after season and forward that is dicey..still a fun plant to grow, very showy and pretty. Smiling
