Thank you SO MUCH for sharing this information! As I have begun to learn more about plants I have been very disheartened by this "patenting" of plants. Especially ones that occur naturally and are discovered by someone. I know if I was fortunate enough to discover a new variety or hybrid, I would as Rolando did, want to share it with everyone freely. I understand there are some people who put a lot of time and care into hybridization and some compensation for that I don't have a problem with. At any rate Amistad is number one for me! Your picture is beautiful too! Smiling
