I had a bag of garden soil which would have been better, but I'm glad to hear that the potting soil is okay as well. The soil in that particular bed is mostly red Georgia clay and it gets a lot of sun. The established daylilies in that bed does very well, but I've never used potting soil. I always use garden soil. I'm a newby to the daylily party and it's like having your first child....you want everything to be just right You worry about every little thing but it always seem to work out okay.
