Hi Becky,..the lake starts about a mile from where my boat is moored and when i am not fishing i just explore,..there are lots of islands all with a long history and many with ancient buildings to wander around,..one can let imagination run riot very easy.
Your Math is right 788 years old,..yes it would be very interesting if one could go back and see what places were like so far back,..there is an older place i visited,..on the west coast of County Clare,..you have to get a boat to get there,..its called the Skelligs,..there were Monks living there in 490 AD,..that's 1525 years ago,..the structures they lived in were called bee hive dwellings.
