Maybe not a funny thing but to add to it, our yard garden is kept clean of weeds and grass while the other beds are a mess. Unfortunately our seedling beds are growing bermuda grass, crab grass, and weeds. I make the joke that our seedling are so much taller than our registered daylilies because that is the only way they show up over the grass and weeds. I work so many hours on the job and have so much going on around here that we don't keep up with it all. We do it anyhow and are not slowing down, I filled out a form for our club when encouraged to submit for a 2017 regional tour or display garden and one question said rate your garden for clean neat and weed free on a 1-5 scale. I put -2, that is negative 2, but may have been generous with that rating.
