This is one I have had for a decade or more. In the winter here in South Jersey zone 7a it gets stored in a very large pot on the unheated back porch. It will take direct sun up here and most years it is removed from the pot and planted in early May. Blooming begins towards the end of July and if I didn't bring it in continue until frost. In the past 10 or 15 years a lot of tender salvias have come into the garden but didn't stay for various reasons. It is telling that this one did.
