Thank you for your help.
That was my guess from the photos I was looking at also and the different sites I have looked at. I think the bearding is shorter on the L.A. Williamson also from Alcazar's which seems to run down their falls more.
Habit? I was given 6 apple boxes of these years ago and hurried to get them planted. With my heavy work load for years the poor things have been left on their own. I remember my Mother having these same ones (type that is) forever when I was a kid and I was always the kid that had to weed them. Oh the memories of it all~ the blisters, the dirty and broken nails, the cuts on my poor little hands and oh my knees and back.
Yep, I am a brute for punishment! I have spent the better part of two weeks now preparing to buy my Iris stock to start a county garden next year (2016). This should be fun! Right???! Hilarious!
