Thanks so much for your article, Mindy03. It comes at a time when I have lots of questions about the bees in my neighborhood. I live in Phoenix, Arizona (transplant from San Francisco, CA). I've lived in my house for 4 1/2 years. Every single year, all 4, when my Queen Palms bloom, the "flower" is totally covered in bees. This year there is nothing, no bees on the flowers. We did have an extremely cold and unusual Fall to Winter with 3 days of hard freeze. Thumb of 2011-05-06/Aguane/d8ebfb

Your article drives home, to me, that we so depend on the bees to bring fertility and flowers.
