At first I tried to remove every single piece of debris with my tweezers or fingertips...but I'm not patient enough for this method - the way described in my article is much faster - not as accurate I admit, but the result should be suitable for sowing. I saw, that when cleaning up larger stalks or quantities of seed heads it's better to do it in 2 or 3 portions - takes longer, but gives you a better cleaning result - alternatively you could use a bigger sheet of white paper, but then transfer to the baking paper squares is more difficult...
