Good Morning Everyone
This year I had 1200 new seedlings to select from, I selected 20 to watch another year. In 2013 I had 2400 new seedlings I selected 36, from those 36 I registered 6 this year. !n 2014 I did not have any new seedling to select from because I planted none due to health issues. I do keep seedlings two years and I may select a couple as two year olds, they may have not bloomed the first year. My seedling to registration ratio has gotten somewhat better over the years, I use to plant 7 to 8,000 per year and got about the same amount of keepers I am getting with way less seedlings today. Just like anything else, experience is the best teacher.
