Could be, could be. But as I understand it, Field Bindweed grows in drier areas, has longer stems, and grows in dense clusters. Every example of this plant I found was lone. And there was literally a huge pool of stagnant water fifteen feet away.

As for Ipomoea lacunosa, the flower certainly looks similar. But the identification book I have doesn't list my state in the distribution. Also, it says that multiple flowers grow on the same plant, and I had observed only one flower per plant on this mystery species.
