I don't know about rust on DLs and I strongly believe I can't distinguish it from spider mites, for example. The look of the leaves is similar at early stage. The past year I thought I had rust. The man who sold me DLs told me it was spider mites (we call them red or yellow spiders). This year I found the same and many of the members on here identificated it as spider mites. If the rust of DLs is the same of all other plants then yes, rust is in Italy. The problem is my total ignorance in gardening!
