I received this early in the season from a hybridizer who says it never bloomed for her in her garden. She is about an hour south of me, but still zone 5b/6a.

I let it grow all season (in clay soil ammended with a compost/top soil mix and there wasn't even the slightest hint of a scape. It's leaves are a healthy green color, but it remains a tiny clump. Two weeks ago I planted it in a raised garden bed in a compost/topsoil/peat mixture (no clay), so hopefully it will like that more, assuming it isn't too sensitive to cold (in which the raised garden bed location might hurt it). We'll see.

It should be noted that since I have not seen it bloom, it COULD be a different cultivar. I've seen gardens further north than me list this cultivar on their for-sale lists...so I imagine it is supposed to be hardy atleast to zone 5.

With luck, next year I'll have more to report on its performance.
