This past year about 1/2 of my Phals threw second blooms. It was awesome cause at one point, I had 10 of them blooming or reblooming and I went over 18 months with at least one in bloom or rebloom. Now down to just one.

I keep all mine indoors all the time - in a kitchen where humidity is high. They normally tend to bloom in the Spring and I have had flushes last 8 or more months.

I do weekly/weakly. If I have any with root problems after soaking in Fert solution, I soak them in a solution using Rapid Start (a rooting enhancer) which I have had good luck with.

Regarding grasshoppers, they have been horrible here this year and they have wreaked havoc on many of my plants - you name it. Even found one chewing on my banana the other day and shooed one off a plumeria.
