We would be on the same zone cherrybloosoms, 9B. Hope your other cuttings will try to form some good leaves. Oftentimes, you will just get the latent buds of this year to bloom next year. So this year will just be pure energy gathering/hardening period. The irony however, by the time they are hardened, it is time to move them indoors which will further put them to nap.
