For years I've told myself I'd terrace the upper back hill so that I could grow sunflowers in the farthest back row, then a row of Dahlias then a row of shorter dahlias with something like sedum in the lowest row. Or terrace into a circle shape so it could be seen from all directions and would all be in bloom at about the same time. I've never done it, but that image stays in my mind. Funny how we think we'll do something 'next year' then next year comes and goes and we never get it done.

Maybe I should change it to 'someday' . . .
