Using a separate thermostat set to a cooler temp is a great idea, Cinta. I wish that I had a sunroom. In fact, I would prefer to have a sunroom rather than a separate greenhouse. My husband is dragging his feet in regard to getting me a greenhouse. He's afraid that I'm going to fill it up. And he's right. So I know that he's not going to add a sunroom to the house. In fact, he's already giving me the evil eye, wondering where I'm going to house all of my tender plants this winter. I have more than I did last year. I have to admit that I don't have it all figured out yet. But, I'm working on it.
