It was a heat index of a mere 100 today, so much more reasonable than the 105 of the past 2 days. Practically needed a sweater!
Got the mowing & trimming done, and some watering.
Here are a few things that are looking good:
bright new red foliage on a hail-ravaged Japanese maple
Digitalis thapsi 'Spanish Peaks' - this was grown from seed. It was a bonus pack thrown in with one of my Diane's Seeds orders.
Aster 'Purple Dome' makes an early appearance. Aster 'Crimson Brocade' is also flowering, but looks too ratty to be picture-worthy at the moment.
Pennisetum orientale 'Karley Rose'
