We just saw a Hooded Warbler in the birdbath. My hubs grabbed the binoculars & I was running for the camera. DH got a super good look at it. I got a great look without binoculars but by the time I got the camera & was ready to shoot.......... well, shoot! Gorgeous bird!!!!! Brighter than the sun!!!!
It was an adult male. I've never seen this one before. Looking at the maps they show them breeding here in our county but since I've never seen it before I think it was just migrating. The info. says they migrate at night & that would jive with the time we've seen it. It will probably take off for points south in another hour or less.
