Then again, I do understand the willingness to pay more for a cross of two cultivars that have special meaning to the cultivar names. Maybe that's why?

Right now there is a complete ban on plant imports to Europe so they have virtually no way to get the plants. Sometimes people also just get caught up in the bidding. It's always interesting to watch, though!
