Yes I dug and constructed it myself several years ago. As a matter of fact, it was completed in 1980. It has
cement block walls, reinforced concrete floors and ventilation shafts. Here are a couple of pictures of me
actually laying the block work! Remember this was a l-o-n-g time ago. I probably would have to hire it done
today. My muscles have changed somewhat.

There was a couple of pictures in an article in my blog from 2013 that has been removed and updated. It never hurts to be prepared.
We also use this as a storm cellar in case of severe weather or other emergencies.
