Melissa, that is really interesting! I never really gave any thought at all to the origin until this thread. Wonder about using the juice for a dye - I might have to try that to see what color, logic would say green but some of the natural dyes are quite surprising. Actually that's something else I've always thought would be interesting, growing dye plants and using them to dye yarn for knitting... so many interesting things to do, I'm going too need to live to be at least 200 !
